I am an Educational Therapist and instructor at Orion Academy, a high school in Moraga, California which provides a program for students diagnosed with neurocognitive disorders. As an Educational Therapist, I have been trained to combine educational and therapeutic approaches for evaluation, remediation, case management and advocacy on behalf of children and adolescents with learning disabilities or learning challenges.

Skills
· Evaluation and treatment of students with varied learning styles and disabilities
· Remediation services for individuals/small groups utilizing multi-sensory techniques (Slingerland and Language! Certified, MakingMathReal)
· Evaluation/Recognition of Specific Language Disability children
· Preparation of multi-sensory lesson plans for the language arts and math (elementary, middle and high school age children)
· Diagnostic screening and assessment, including the Woodcock-Johnson III (a comprehensive test of cognitive and achievement skills)
· Implement and oversee continuing education/training programs
· Identify and work with at-risk primary grade children in public school setting
· Build relationships with school staff and participate in SST (Student Study Team/Student Success Team) and IEP processes
